ASOHNS — Nasal Valve Surgery Outcomes

Published by ENT Clinics Australia

On April 1st 2014, Dr Dan Robinson presented his research paper at the ASOHNS meeting. The title of the research paper was:

“Prospective outcomes in nasal valve surgery”

Dr Robinson reviewed all of the rhinoplasties he had performed over the preceding 12 months — a total of 49 procedures. Rhinoplasties with at least 6 months of follow-up were included in the prospective study.

All patients in the study had an improvement in their nasal obstruction symptom scores. All patients also had an improvement in the cosmesis of their nose as judged by the rhinoplasty outcome evaluation questionnaire.

Dr Robinson will continue to evaluate his results using patient-based outcomes and plans to present at the ENT Scientific Meeting in 2015, to be held in Sydney.
