About Dr Sam Dowthwaite

Dr Sam Dowthwaite obtained his FRACS in 2011 after completing a BSc in Biomedical Science at Griffith University and his medical degree at the University of Queensland. He undertook a prestigious fellowship in London, Ontario, Canada, under Professor John Yoo in 2011–2012. He is a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, holds public appointments at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital, and is accredited at Greenslopes in Brisbane. Notably, Dr Dowthwaite performed Queensland's first transoral robotic surgery (TORS).
